Special committee on radio interference. Other equipment may
interfere with the PRM and ZWT, even if that equipment comp lies with the
International Special Committee on R
adio Interference (CISPR) emission
requirements.
Electric sho ck. To avoid the risk of el
ectric shock, only connect the PRM
to a ground ed/earthed power source.
•PRMlocation.Do not use the PRM or Z
WT adjacent to or stacked with
other equipment. If adjacent or stacked use is necessary, check the PRM
and ZWT for normal operation in that con guration.
PRM and ZWT must remain outside sterile eld. ThePRMandZWT
are non-sterile and cannot be sterilized. They must both remain ou tside
the sterile eld.
Physiological signals. Operation of the PRM with physiolo gical signals
that are lower than the minimum
detectable amplitude may cause
inaccurate results.
Printer parts. Do not simultan
eously touch the patient and the parts
inside the printer door.
PRM is MR Unsafe. ThePRMandZWT
are MR Unsafe and must remain
outside the MRI site Zone III (and higher) as dened by the American
College of Radiology Guidance Document for Safe MR Practices
1
. Under
no circumstances should th
e PRM be brough t into the MRI scanner room,
the control room, o r the MRI site Zone III or IV areas.
•Modications. No modicat
ion of this equi pment is allowe d unl ess
approved b y Boston Scientic.
PRECAUTIONS
General
Use only a ppropriate PRM. Us e only t he appropriate Boston Scienti c
PRMs equipped with the app
ropriate software to program Boston Scienti c
pulse generators.
Wand use. Use only the Mode
l 6577 Sterilizable Telemetry Wand with
the PRM.
•Stylususe.Use the stylu
s supplied with the PRM; the use of any other
object could damage the touchscreen. Using the stylus may also improve
accuracy.
Leakage current. Although optional external equip ment connected to the
PRM meets leakage-current requirements for commercial products, it may
not meet the more string
ent leakage requirements for medical products.
Consequently, al l external equipment must be k ept outside the patient
environment (at least 1.5 m [4.9 ft] away f rom the patien t).
